What is ampathie?
ampathie is a electronic progressive rock project of Christian Brach (voc. and rhythm guitar of “MOSA!K“) collaborating with guest musicians.
Because of his great interest in recording, mixing and mastering music, he and the other band members of “MOSA!K“ made the decision to realize their second album by their own and so “ampathie“ became a little recording and mixing studio too.
It exists since the beginning of the 21st century. The name “ampathie“ is a word creation of the words “amplifier” and the German word for “empathy”.
First small steps of recording Christian B. took with logic audio software, a 1 Ghz high-speed Audio PC (just kidding) with the phenomenal sound card “Audiowerk 8”. Everything was extreme-low-budget.
„I installed the software and played my guitar in one of those audio tracks with a terrible overdrive of a multi-effects floorboard. It sounded really *@))(/& ! For the drums I had a “Korg S3” Workstation and I recorded after all on a tape.“
After a while the equipment has grown slowly but permanently and he started some projects with other musicians. The style of “ampathie” today is rock with parts of electronic music. And it's based on the Cakewalk Sonar 8 Producer Edition software.
On the 12th of July 2010 the first ampathie-album called “ONLY ME” has been released (online). Check it out on my homepage!
